Lexus: Extreme Measures
My Contribution
Concept → Creative Direction → Production → Final Execution
I developed the creative approach and took it from concept to execution, including personally securing access to two of Japan's most tightly controlled automotive factories.
An extreme machine is born of extreme scrutiny, every detail finely calibrated to create something truly impressive. To capture this level of precision, we knew we had to go to the source.
So I flew to Japan and worked directly with the leadership of two automotive factories to convince them to open their tightly controlled facilities to us for both print and broadcast production.
What began as a difficult ask became a rare opportunity to document the craftsmanship behind the vehicles at the source. The resulting work captured the obsessive precision of the people, processes and machines responsible for creating them.
I was involved at every stage: concept development, creative direction, production planning, client collaboration, factory access, photography, film and final execution.
The factories were initially reluctant to let us in. Today, they proudly show the resulting work to their high-profile visitors, and the footage is still being used by the brand in national broadcast advertising.
